We are so inspired by everything Georgie makes. The prints she chooses and the way she cleverly clashes them create THE coolest combinations. Georgie’s latest make, a fabulous Friday Pattern Company Patina blouse is absolutely no exception. Find this and loads more inspiring makes on Georgie’s Instagram – @heysewgeorgie.

We adore this stunning Helen’s Closet Gilbert Top Lynn made. It is a true staple that can be styled in so many ways and we think it will get lots of wear as soon as the sun starts to shine! We love it, Lynn!

I am getting very excited about all the new exhibitions opening at the moment and this one is definitely on my list to go and see. Althea McNish: Colour is Mine is a landmark retrospective of one of the UK’s most innovative textile artists and the first designer of Caribbean descent to achieve international recognition. It looks like a perfect day out for us textile-obsessed sewers.

Althea McNish: Colour is Mine is on at the William Morris Gallery in London until 11 September 2022

If you want something lovely to read that is in equal parts a feast for the eyes, I highly recommend this BBC Article about London business, Jeanette Fashions.

“Maurice Dorfman ran Jeannette Fashions, a traditional haberdashery shop and the longest-surviving independent shop on Clapham High Street, south London. His death, in February last year, aged 87, brought to an end a remarkable 60 years of family trading in the heart of Clapham. And for the past 18 months, Clapham photographer Jim Grover has been piecing together Dorfman’s life.”

I think we all have a business like this that we’ve treasured and whose shop owners are absolutely remarkable and one in a million 🙂
