30+ FREE Bicycle Sewing Patterns

Bicycle Sewing Patterns

Do you have a cyclist in the family?

Almost everyone likes to bike.  But there are some people who REALLY like to bike.  My brother is one of those people.  He loves biking so much that everything he does seems to be focused on biking and he spends hours a day and almost every weekend doing it.

Obviously, this is great for fitness, except for the occasional bike crash, which he has certainly had.

I was thinking of what kind of gift I could give to someone so infatuated with cycling.  I thought about our money belt project which is linked below, but that’s not purely about cycling.  So I went out on the internet to see what I could find.

Below is a huge list of the best free bicycle sewing patterns that I could find on the internet.  If you have a biking fanatic in the family, as I do, I’m sure you’ll be able to find something nice to sew for them.

With summer coming to a close and the popular traveling holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas now on the horizon, we thought it would be timely to compile of list of travel sewing projects that will make your upcoming journeys a bit more enjoyable.

I did a lot of traveling this summer and how I wished I had had many of these helpful items with me at the time.  When I got back, I put this list of travel sewing projects together thinking of all the things I wish I had had during our trip.

Travel is the time when you need lot of bags and pouches for storing and organising those itsy bitsy items. For long distance travel, you might even need few items to make your journey as comfortable as possible.

This larger sized sleep mask pattern really makes sure no light gets in and is perfect for travel or daytime naps. It's lined with satin for a luxury feel.

This is an ideal project for beginners. If you are traveling across continents and would like to catch up on some sleep, this mask would be the right option. A very simple project, all you need is a piece of fabric, elastic, and sewing supplies.

Essential Family and Travel Passport Wallet. This one contains space for a family of 2 or 4 - much more useful.

One of my greatest worries while traveling overseas is the safety of my passport and other travel documents. Even though I make sure that it is kept safely inside my tote bag, there are times, especially when I travel alone with my kids, when I feel the need to have storage just for my travel documents.

Jewelry purse - love this jewelry case. Soft and padded for travel but nice enough to use on your dresser every day.

Yet another essential while traveling, this jewelry travel case is just right for storing all your accessories like earrings, rings, bracelets, and other small items. The small zipper pocket provided at the end of the case provides an additional storage option.

How to make clear vinyl zipper bags. I use mine to keep fabric, thread, pattern and zipper together for planned projects, but these are good for lots of things. Think first aid kit!

This is ideal for storing cosmetics while traveling. Since the zipper bag is transparent, it is easy to locate items stored inside.  Also helpful when going through airport security.

Oh yes, this simple idea is what I need for those long car trips. The kids could sleep so much better wiht one of these seatbelt pillows.

If you undertake road trips regularly like me, then the seat belt neck pillow might come in handy. This pillow takes away the strain of the seat belt and is ideal for both kids and adults. You can even attach a small pocket to the pillow for your mobile phone.

Crafty Crayon Roll

If you’re traveling with small children, goodness knows you need to keep them busy.  Sometimes restaurants and airlines provide crayons and coloring books to help keep their little guest busy, but sometimes they don’t.  If you want to rest up and enjoy a peaceful meal when it’s time to stop driving or a flight, you need to be prepared with your own crayons.  Here’s a great way to take a set of crayons along with you on the trip.

15+ FREE Camisole Sewing Patterns

camisole sewing patterns

Do you like camisoles?

Well, I do.  I received a lot of requests a few weeks back for a camisole pattern.  We didn’t have one on the site at the time and it seemed like something we should have.  So I started my research to make a new pattern.

What I often do is to take a look around and see what designs others have done to see if there is something I can improve or innovate on.  It turns out that there really aren’t that many camisole sewing patterns out there.

In any case, I’ve collected a list of the best ones I could find and as I often do, I figure I might as well share them with you.

I did do my own pattern for So Sew Easy, which I linked below which was very popular when we published it a couple of weeks ago.
